Here at Anderson Cattle we are a family owned and operated business today as a father and his two sons.

We are dedicated to bringing our cattle business into the 21st century and digital age. Together, we established Anderson Cattle. A company dedicated to finding cutting-edge solutions to raising the best quality beef cattle and club calves on the market.

We would be remiss if we did not acknowledge our 135+ years of experience. All brought on from 5 generations of Doege and Anderson hard work.

It all began back in 1884 with our great-great-grandfather, Herman Doege. Mr. Herman Doege immigrated to the United States from Falkenburg, Germany in 1872 at the age of twelve. He grew up in Zuehl, Texas. He was happily married to his first wife Bertha who blessed him with one daughter and six sons.

Herman and Bertha purchased 272 acres just outside of La Vernia, TX for $2,400.50. They purchased an additional 160 acres shortly after; eventually growing the property to 1000+ acres. They began breeding beef and dairy cattle for their means of support. Emil Doege, our great-grandfather contined to run the cattle and farm; passing it on to our grandfather Milton Doege. Grandpa spent numerous days educating my brother and I on how to appreciate and care for the cattle with a heavy emphasis on cultivating the land.

Though the original land is no longer in the family our father John David Anderson has begun building it all back. We are happy to be raising our cattle on three separate ranches with lots of plans for continued growth.

Our great-grandfather, John Wayman Anderson began breeding beef cattle in 1944. He passed along his love for cattle to our grandfather David Anderson who passed it along to our dad, John David. Dad loves spending time with all his "girlfriends" (cows) at the ranches; and is always happy to educate his two sons on what needs to be done and how it needs to be done.

We are thouroughly thankful for the generations before us who paved the way teaching us not only how to live and raise livestock off the Texas landscape, but to perpetuate care for the land as stewards of God's creation.

We are proud to breed premium F1-Tigerstripe, superior Brahmans, gentle Herefords, and the highest standard of brangus cattle on the market.
